I am delighted to meet all of you. I congratulate you all on your selection into the prestigious services. You will be shouldering important responsibilities in these two services. I am sure you will discharge your duties with complete dedication and excellence.
It is a great pleasure for me to be the first Indian President to visit the “Warm Heart of Africa”. I am delighted to address the business community of India and Malawi.
India and Malawi share cordial and friendly bilateral relations. India was one of the first countries to establish diplomatic relations with Malawi immediately after its Independence in 1964. However, the people to people ties between the two countries span over 140 years. Coincidentally, this year also marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
मुझे आज ‘Warm Heart of Africa’ मलावी में आप सभी के बीच उपस्थित होकर बड़ी प्रसन्नता का अनुभव हो रहा है। भारत के राष्ट्रपति की मलावी की यह पहली यात्रा है, और मैं मलावी आने के लिए निमंत्रण देने तथा मुझे और मेरे प्रतिनिधिमंडल के स्वागत और आतिथ्य के लिए मलावी सरकार की आभारी हूं। मेरे साथ हमारे Minister of State श्री सुकांत मजूमदार, और संसद सदस्य श्री अतुल गर्ग और श्री मुकेशकुमार दलाल भी हैं, और हम अपने साथ 140 करोड़ भारतीयों का अभिनंदन लेकर आये हैं।
