I am indeed happy to be here to attend the first regional conference on access to legal aid. I believe that making legal aid accessible to people in need is the cornerstone of any modern state.

I am happy to be here among you on the Constitution Day, an occasion of great national importance. Today, we commemorate the day the Constitution was adopted by the Constituent Assembly of India in 1949, after close to three years of brainstorming.

At the outset, I congratulate you all for your selection in the prestigious civil services. I am told that the special foundation course at Haryana Institute of Public Administration focuses on imparting training to you in good governance.

जैसा कि आप सभी जानते हैं कि कल ही, यानी 23 नवंबर को भगवान श्री सत्य साई बाबा की जयंती है। मैं उनकी पावन स्मृति को सादर नमन करती हूं। श्री सत्य साई बाबा के आशीर्वाद से समृद्ध यह क्षेत्र पूरे विश्व के श्रद्धालुओं की आस्था का केंद्र है।

वर्ष 2022 batch के आप सभी IPS Probationers से मिलकर मुझे बहुत प्रसन्नता हो रही है। आप सब कठिन परिश्रम के बल पर कड़ी प्रतिस्पर्धा में सफलता प्राप्त करके IPS के लिए चुने गए। इसके लिए मैं आप सबको बधाई देती हूँ। अपना प्रशिक्षण पूरा करने के बाद आप सब पुलिस अधिकारियों के रूप में बहुत बड़ी ज़िम्मेदारी निभाएंगे।

I congratulate you for clearing the Civil Services and Engineering Services examination and making it to the prestigious services. Your presence here speaks of your hard work, determination, and perseverance.

मैं आज राज्य स्थापना दिवस के शुभ अवसर पर उत्तराखंड के सभी निवासियों को बहुत-बहुत बधाई देती हूं।

देवभूमि उत्तराखंड के शिक्षा केंद्र हेमवती नंदन बहुगुणा विश्वविद्यालय में आकर मुझे अपार हर्ष की अनुभूति हो रही है। यह दिलचस्प तथ्य है कि इस विश्वविद्यालय की स्थापना में जन-आंदोलन की प्रमुख भूमिका थी। सत्तर के दशक में शिक्षा के लिए आंदोलन करना यहां की विकसित जनचेतना का प्रतीक है।
