I am delighted to visit the Ramakrishna Mission Student's Home and address the students.
When I was a college student I learnt two important teachings. One is of Shri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa who said, " As a lamp does not burn without oil, so a man cannot live without God". Another is of Swami Vivekananda who said, "imagination properly employed is our greatest strength. It goes beyond reason and it is only light that can take us every where". When I am in this beautiful environment, I thought of sharing a few of my experiences.
Heritage and Innovation
I am delighted to participate in the 151st Anniversary function of Chennai Museum today and happy to inaugurate the new galleries and the reorganized galleries. The Government museum, Chennai is preserving the archeological, anthropological, artistic, geological, numismatics, flora and fauna resources of the ancient south Indian culture. These features have gradually taken shape over the last one and half centuries and have grown into 8 galleries with one theatre.

I am delighted to inaugurate the Paterson Cancer Centre. Dr.Vijayaraghavan always says he treats cancer patients and God always blesses for cure. Today I find the uniqueness of the facility established in the centre like External Beam Radio therapy - Brachy therapy facilities such as Iridium - 192 as Implants and moulds and caesium - 137 for uterine cancer supported with ancillary facilities. My greetings to Dr. Vijayaraghavan and his team for creating such state of the art pain relieving facility for cancer patients.
