<p class="title1">Development Ambience: PURA as an instrument</p><p>I am delighted to participate in the inauguration of the Centre for Sustainable Rural Development and Research Studies of Vellore Institute of Technology. My greetings to the Chancellor, Vice Chancellor, Faculty Members, students, staff of VIT and distinguished guests.</p><p>I just inaugurated the Centre for Sustainable Rural Development Research Studies, in the university campus which has a strength of 8000 students and 400 Faculty members.
<p class="title1">'The Research Challenges of Healthcare';</p><p>I am happy to visit Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore and deliver the Dr.Ida Scudder Oration today. On this day I am reminded of the dedicated service rendered by Dr.Ida Scudder who started a single bedded hospital in Vellore, which has now grown into a hospital with over 2000 beds with 117 specializations. As a Gynecologist she used to go to the villages meet people and treat them.
<p class="title1">Science is Borderless</p><p>I am indeed delighted to participate in the International Conference on Computational and Experimental Engineering and Sciences. I greet the organizers, eminent scientists, technologists, educationists, researchers, education planners, distinguished guests and other participants. I particularly greet the international participants for sharing their experiences. I am happy to know that the Conference deals with the aerospace, mechanical engineering, computer sciences and applied mathematics.
<p class="title1">Evolving Entrepreneurs</p><p>I am indeed delighted to be in the Loyola College and interact with the students of Loyola Institute of Business Administration. I am happy to note that Loyola College is creating a pool of administrators and entrepreneurs with a spirit of creating small and medium enterprises in Tamil Nadu and other parts of the country. During the last 25 years the institute has generated large number of Business Administration graduates who have taken up important assignments in the industry.
