When I am in Sambalpur I realize I am in the land of renowned freedom fighter Surendra Sai of Western Orissa. Of course based on the selfless services of many leaders from 1857 to 1947 we got our independence and now we are on a mission of transforming India into a prosperous, happy and safe nation.

President meets 96 yrs old MP
President received a letter stating that Shri. Ramachandra veerapa, Honourable member of Loksabha, 96 yrs old, is ailing in Gangaram hospital and he desired to meet the President.
He is a member of the 14th Loksabha and has been elected to the house continuously for 8 times.
President visited and met Shri. Ramachandra Veerapa at Gangaram hospital on 12 June 2004 and wished him fast recovery. President also enquired about possible medical care for the Honorable MP from the specialist doctors.
