Excellencies,
Distinguished Ladies and Gentlemen,
It is a privilege for me to make this historic journey to Papua New Guinea - the first-ever State Visit by any Indian President to this beautiful country. Since we arrived, I have been struck by the splendour of Papua New Guinea’s pristine landscape.

Distinguished members of the Faculty, Dear Students, Ladies and Gentlemen,
Good evening your Excellency Lieutenant General The Right Honourable Sir Jerry Mateparae. Excellences distinguished guests ladies and gentlemen.
I am delighted to be here this evening on the occasion of the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the Federation of Indian Export Organizations (FIEO). Ladies and Gentlemen:
1.I am happy to be amidst you this evening for the National Technology Day celebrations. This Day – eleventh of May, eighteen years ago is significant in relation to the development of India’s technological capabilities.
1.It is indeed a happy occasion for me to confer the National Florence Nightingale Awards for the year 2016 to the deserving nursing personnel of our country. These Awards are presented on the occasion of the International Nurses’ Day.
1.I am happy to have inaugurated the intelligent operations centre and launched a mobile application, ‘Monitor’, towards a Smart President’s Estate.
1. I thank you for your kind words of welcome.I am delighted to begin my State Visit to China here in Guangzhou. This historic city has always been an important port of call for Indian business.
1.It is an honour for me to address this gathering of distinguished cultural and leading academic personalities of China.
