Once I was watching some polio affected children walking with heavy calipers weighing around 3 kg (artificial limb) which they were finding it very difficult to carry. One of my friend who was a doctor asked me why we can?t use some of the light weight material used in the missiles for making the light weight caliper. This gave me an idea and our team made the light weight caliper weighing 300gms within 10 days, which were fitted to the polio affected children. The children started riding the cycles, running and jumping in great joy. This gave me bliss.
