French doors imbue prominence to foreground with thick velvet curtains segregating the inner and outer locale. Smt. Patil is wearing a full sleeved bandhgala blouse and her head is covered with hersari’s gold pallu. Her hands hold each other in a formal pose with the Indian National flag behind her.
A silver vase with red roses is on her left. She is wearing square shaped spectacles. Her sharp nose, high cheek bones, emphatic chin and red lips indicate a smiling presence accentuated further by a redbindi gracing her forehead. Rahi Mohinder Singh, the artist of this composition was born in Patankot and studied Fine Arts at the Government College of Arts in Chandigarh. His artistic style focuses on realistic expressions.
