Prime Minister Calls on President

The Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh called on the President, Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil at Rashtrapati Bhavan today and greeted her on the occasion of Diwali.
They also discussed various issues of national and international importance, particularly internal security issues, agricultural production and food security. The Prime Minister also briefed the President about his forthcoming visit to Thailand where he shall be attending the ASEAN-India Summit. The meeting between the two lasted for about 30 minutes.
