President's Greetings on the Occasion of Naba Barsha, Puthandu Pirappu, Rongali Bihu and Vishu

The President of India, Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil has greeted her countrymen on the occasion of Naba Barsha, Puthandu Pirappu, Rongali Bihu and Vishu, which are being celebrated tomorrow. The President has sent her greetings from Lisbon, enroute to Sao Paulo on her State Visit to Brazil. In her message, she has said: -

"On the auspicious occasion of Naba Barsha, Puthandu Pirappu, Rongali Bihu and Vishu, I offer my greetings and good wishes to all my countrymen.

Celebrated in a wide variety of ways in different parts of our country, these festivals reflect our diversity and pluralistic tradition and strengthen the pluralistic heritage of our nation. May these festivals inspire all to work for the well being, progress, prosperity and peace of the nation."
