President Meets Children on the Occasion of Raksha Bandhan

The President of India, Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil met a group of 105 children from 17 different organizations and schools today at Rashtrapati Bhavan on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. The children of various age groups included some who are mentally and physically challenged, visually impaired and thalassaemic and are from Delhi and towns of Rewari, Gwalior, Panipat, Kapurthala and Faridabad.
The President spent a considerable time with the children and also distributed sweets and gifts to them. Earlier, the children also had a round of Rashtrapati Bhavan and the Mughal Gardens.
