President Of India Contributes Rupees One Lakh To Prime Minister's National Relief Fund Towards Rehabilitation Of Cloud Burst Victims In Leh

The President of India, Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil has contributed Rupees One Lakh from her salary to the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund, towards utilization for the rehabilitation of the poor and needy persons affected by the recent cloud burst in Leh in Jammu and Kashmir. The President had made a specific mention of the natural calamity in her address to the Nation on August 14, 2010, on the eve of the 64th Independence Day.
