President Of India Condoles Passing Away Of Former Prime Minister, Shri V.P. Singh

The President of India, Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil has condoled the passing away of the former, Prime Minister Shri Vishwanath Pratap Singh. In a condolence message from Hanoi in Vietnam, where she is currently on a State Visit, the President has said:-

"In the passing away of Shri Vishwanath Pratap Singh, the nation has lost a national leader who was known for his rectitude and who was also deeply committed to the cause of social justice, throughout his life. Shri Vishwanath Pratap Singh always enjoyed handling challenging situations in all postions that he held, right from being the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh to the Prime Minister of India. The nation has become the poorer in his demise."
