President Condoles Passing Away of Playwright Vijay Tendulkar

The President of India, Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil has condoled the passing away of the leading playwright, Shri Vijay Tendulkar.

In her condolence message, the President has said that Shri Vijay Tendulkar was not only an acknowledged figure in Indian literature, but also helped Marathi and all of Indian theatre attain recognition at the international level. The President has also said that his work expressed the realities of our time.
