President Appoints Governors

The President has been pleased to make the following appointments.
1. Dr. (Smt.) Kamla, Governor of Tripura transferred and appointed as Governor of Gujarat for the remainder of her term.
2. Dr. D.Y. Patil as Governor of Tripura vice Dr. (Smt.) Kamla.
3. Shri J.B. Patnaik as Governor of Assam vice Shri Syed Sibtey Razi on expiry of his term of office on 09.12.2009.
The above appointments will take effect from the dates the incumbents assume charge of their respective offices.
