President Accepts Resignation Of Shri Prithviraj Chavan, Minister Of State And Directs Shri Kapil Sibal, Minister Of Hrd To Take Charge Temporarily Of The Ministries Of Science & Technology And Earth Sciences

The President of India on the recommendation of the Prime Minister has accepted the resignation of Shri Prithviraj Chavan, Minister of State (Independent Charge) of Ministry of Science & Technology; Minister of State (Independent Charge) of Ministry of Earth Sciences; Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office; Minister of State in the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions and Minister of State in the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, from the Council of Ministers, with immediate effect.

Further, as advised by the Prime Minister of India, the President of India directs that Shri Kapil Sibal, Minister of Human Resource Development may be temporarily entrusted the work of the Ministry of Science & Technology and the Ministry of Earth Sciences.
