Envoys Of Four Nations Present Credentials To President Of India

Four envoys presented their credentials to the President of India, Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil at a ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

The envoys who presented their credentials were: - Her Excellency Dr. Chrissie Chawanje Mughogho, the High Commissioner of Malawi, His Excellency Mr. Miloslav Stasek, the Ambassador of the Czech Republic, His Excellency Mr. Williams Nkurunziza, the High Commissioner of Rwanda and His Excellency Mr. Saul Arana Castellon, the Ambassador of Nicaragua.

Welcoming the envoys the President said India seeks to build bridges of friendship on the basis of mutual respect and hopes to strengthen existing ties with their countries. The President also emphasized the need for people to people contacts, particularly amongst the youth, to build linkages for the future. The President also said that India is willing to share its experience and knowledge and is engaged in providing training and technical assistance to other developing countries in the context of South-South solidarity.

The credential presentation ceremony was attended by the senior members of the missions, senior officials of the Ministry of External Affairs and Rashtrapati Bhavan.
