Condolence on Floods Situation in Assam, Meghalaya and Bihar

The President of India Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil has condoled the loss of lives and damage to property due to floods in some parts of State of Assam, Meghalaya and Bihar. The President has expressed her sympathy to the affected families and asked the Chief Ministers of the concerned States to take all necessary steps to provide relief to the affected people. In separate letters addressed to the Chief Ministers of the States, the President has hoped that the State Governments are taking all necessary steps to provide relief to the affected people.
