President of India Shri Pranab Mukherjee will undertake a four-day visit to Andhra Pradesh (Hyderabad) and West Bengal (Kolkata, Nimtouri, Barrackpore, Shibpur and Vidyanagar) from January 17 to 20, 2013.

On January 17, 2013, the President will inaugurate the 28th Congress of Asia Pacific, Academy of Ophthalmology in conjunction with the 71st Annual Conference of All India Ophthalmological Society (APAO-AIOS 2013) at Hyderabad.

On January 18, 2013, the President will inaugurate the 150th Birth Anniversary Celebrations of Swami Vivekananda at Kolkata, unveil the statues of Shri Ajoykumar Mukherjee, Shri Satishchandra Samanta and Shri Sushilkumar Dhara, Freedom Fighters at Nimtouri and address an assembly of newspersons on the occasion of completion of 90 years of the Indian Journalists’ Association at Kolkata.

On January 19, 2013, the President will attend the closing ceremony of 150th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda at Barrackpore and 15th Annual Convocation of the Bengal Engineering and Science University at Shibpur. On January 20, 2013, the President will visit Netaji Bhawan at Netaji Research Bureau, Kolkata on the occasion of Netaji’s 116th Birth Anniversary, lay the foundation stone for the new building of Vidyanagar College at Vidyanagar, attend the concluding ceremony of the Sesquicentennial Celebrations of the Calcutta High Court at Netaji Indoor Stadium, Kolkata, inaugurate the Centenary Celebrations of the National Test House at Town Hall, Kolkata and inaugurate the new Integrated Terminal Building of Kolkata Airport at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport, Kolkata.
