President Of India’s Message On The Occasion Of Independence Day Of Pakistan

The President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee has extended his greetings and felicitations to the Government and people of Pakistan on the occasion of the Independence Day of Pakistan (August 14, 2013).

In a message to the President of Pakistan, His Excellency Mr. Asif Ali Zardari, the President has said, "on the occasion of the Independence Day of Pakistan, I have the pleasure of conveying, on behalf of the Government and the people of India, our felicitations to the Government and the people of Pakistan.

I take this opportunity to reiterate India's commitment to building a friendly and cooperative relationship with Pakistan that leads to peace in our region and progress and prosperity of our peoples”.
