Educational Institutions Must Recognize Inspired Teacher And Promote Innovations, Says President

The President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee interacted with grass root innovators and inspired teachers and inaugurated a website of Innovators’ Club at Tripura Central University at Suryamaninagar today (June 20, 2013).
The President congratulated the Tripura Central University for organising this Innovators’ Exhibition and said in a knowledge based world, it was extremely important to recognize the creative and innovative talent at the grassroots and link them to the formal education system. He called upon the University to strengthen this linkage and work in collaboration with the State Government to enable the innovators convert the products they have developed into marketable products. He said innovators should be helped develop a marketing strategy to attract entrepreneurs and investors. The nation's future economic success will depend on the how we can compete with other countries in research and innovation.
Interacting with the Inspired Teachers of Tripura Central University, the President said an inspired teacher leaves a deep impact on the young minds. Through their conduct and life example, an inspired teacher makes a profound contribution to character-building in the students. Inspired teachers sow the seeds of correct values in their students which are essential for the growth and advancement of any nation. Our educational institutions must recognize such inspired teachers. These teachers should be encouraged to create a wider network of such educators to share their knowledge, wisdom and philosophy with larger number of students in the region and the country.
